Plymouth County Outreach (PCO) in partnership with the Police Assisted Addiction Recovery Initiative (PAARI), and Beth Israel Deaconess Leahy Health in Plymouth has received a grant from South Shore Health to integrate a “Team Approach” to provide Behavioral Health Services to residents of Plymouth County.
This “Team Approach” commonly referred to as the HUB Model was developed and used with great success in Canada as well as the city of Chelsea and sections of Boston. This HUB Model brings together collaborations between Law Enforcement, Behavioral Health providers, and other resources to deal with approximately 24 social determinants that factor into one’s behavioral health needs. Training for the HUB Model was conducted during the week of January 13, 2020 in Plymouth with all Plymouth County Outreach regional HUB Tables expected to go on-line the week of January 20, 2020.
