Finding strength and pride in your journey is a personal mission within each of us along our road of life. We often live in a society where “stigma” roars louder than triumph. What I’m sure of is many of carry is a need to be free of labels, having to stuff our inner truths down to a quiet simmer due to fear of the reaction of others. The beauty within the recovery community is collectively we can find our voice, rewrite our story as many times as we need, and have a place to not only share, but celebrate those moments together.

Whether you be on your first 24 hours, 24 months, or 24 years into recovery, there is a community awaiting to rejoice together. Knowing your area, your comfort zone and willingness to broaden horizons from self to others is key. Here at Plymouth County Outreach we have an abundance of resources stemming from zoom, in person, groups, gatherings, harm reduction, basic needs, community outreach, inpatient and outpatient programs to name a few. Grief support, Peer Support, and a story that each one of us carry and willing to share to help along the roads that we ourselves have had to travel. The honor and dedication felt within our staff is genuine, not having learned all we know from a book. The lessons we each carry are from our own experiences, trials and tribulations. We collaboratively have welcomed the calling of joining voices to become the next wave of those who can say proudly “we do recover”.

Remember, you are never alone.
