In the year 2021, PCO Outreach Teams made contact with someone during 809 home visits. During these visits, 74% of individuals who had overdosed or were considered at risk accepted services from the outreach team. When the Outreach Team made contact with a family member or friend, 77% accepted services (updated February 8th, 2022).

Plymouth County Outreach team members work tirelessly to break down the stigmas associated with substance use disorder. We attend resources fairs, police days and other community events as well as hosting bi-annual drug take back events to promote the disposal of unused, unwanted and expired mediations.

In 2022, we collected over 200lbs of unwanted or expired prescription medication, 5 large bins of sharps, and several vapes! We also distributed over 200 bags of Deterra to members of the community. Deterra is a drug deactivation tool that allows you to dispose of unused or expired substances safely in your home. If you are interested in getting a Deterra kit, reach out through our connect page!

Missed our last drug take back event? Every day is drug take back day in Plymouth County! All 27 Police Departments in Plymouth County have drug take back boxes in their lobbies. Drop your unused, unwanted or expired mediations in the box 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, no questions asked.
