At a time in the season where storms and quiet collide, many of us struggle emotionally alongside the winter season. Often self-reflection is forced in hibernation, struggles surface within the storms and the feeling of change digs from within our daily monologue.
Trees during fall have shed away in anticipation of the unpredictable that lies forth. Leaving baren branches to catch the cold and withhold the weight the world has brought upon them. The healing underneath the rough exterior that is unseen yet assumed, or at times never given a thought until the bloom shines through. We as people are much like nature we see, our journeys hide beneath.
Each one of us has a natural ability to thrive within us which is the strongest of our roots. All the storms that have weathered until this point have had the power to survive. What has your storm taught you?
This could be a season of stillness with more reflection and peace. Do you feel an awakening? Perhaps a yearning for more? Now is the time! In order to have all that you want, you must be willing to shed all that is not. The habitual self-sabotaging ways must be cut away to clear your way to a future you deserve.
One day at a time. Break the habits slowly, thinking through what you would truly like this year to be? Build new skills that help into a life of living. That new skill can be to ask for help, taking that first step is monumental. A bright and hopeful horizon is waiting, you are worth it. Your deep determination to feed the daily can be equally strong if you remember to redirect its power within for your long term. A Healthy, happy striving version of yourself that you have always been worth being, seeing and believing in. I see you and am proud of all you have accomplished.
Think back to the trees in the fall season, the winter and what they lead into. What this must have taken to thrive again in the blooming season! Self-care. Letting go of what no longer serves us. Releasing the weight that has kept us stranded from pushing further onto our own journeys. Understand with sacrifice will come pain: the cost of healing is priceless. The cost of healing is worth releasing the relinquished version of YOU.
The journey of healing is that of a lifetime, but also comes with beautiful seasons. It may seem too heavy at times, but it is worth every climb. The cost of healing is your past… and it is worth it. Here’s to a year of health, happiness and above all, the one and only you.
For those struggling, reach out you are never alone.
For those celebrating, rejoice and reach out, we celebrate together!
No accomplishments are too small, 1 day, 1 month, 1 year.
Together we heal.
